Eddie Eccleston Joins Dahon Board of Directors

Dahon appoints Eccleston as Director and adds new management personnel at its headquarters.

Duarte, California, August 27, 2012 – Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, adds Eddie Eccleston to its Board of Directors and adds new personnel to its corporate structure.

Appointed as Global Sales and Marketing Director of the Dahon Group at the beginning of last year, Dahon has now also appointed Eccleston to its Board of Directors. In his role, the seasoned executive will contribute to the development and execution of both annual and long term goals and objectives for the Dahon Group.

Eccleston has 32 years of experience in the bicycle industry having held senior management positions at Townsend Cycles and Peugeot (bicycles) UK. He also has deep industry expertise having served as president of the European Cycle Manufac­tures Association (COLIBI) and on the board of the European Parts Manufacturers Association.

“Eddie Eccleston has been a strong contributor for the company in the last year and we are pleased to add one of the industry’s most experienced professionals to the Dahon Board of Executives,” said Dr. Hon. “He brings a tremendous breadth of experience and strong industry relationships to support many of the decisions Dahon will face as we continue to grow”.

Eccleston joins current board members Dr. David T. Hon, CEO and founder of Dahon and Henry Hon, Dahon Vice President and co-founder.

Appointed to a management position, Zeng Tom Zonghe has been hired as the Vice President of Production at the company’s main factory. As the former General Manager of Magna bikes, Zeng oversaw the production of five million units for the U.S. market and brings 20 years of industry experience to Dahon.  A second addition, Michelle Tseng, former OEM sales manager from Ideal with 25 years of experience, will be taking on the role of Assistant Director of OEM Sales with Dahon.
