21 Feb Dahon Honored with First Annual Taipei D&I Award
EEZZ folding bicycle awarded
Duarte, California, February 21, 2012 – Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, has been awarded a Taipei Cycle Design & Innovation Award for the EEZZ, operating under prototype name, Metro. Winning products were selected for their high degree of innovation and design.
Dahon’s new 16” model weighs only 9kg and can be folded or assembled in less than 7 seconds. Concealed folding hinges within the EEZZ’s frame streamline the bikes structural design while innovative vertical folding technologies simplify and quicken the folding process. With the aid of twin pull rod systems on the seat post, the seat height extends and contracts automatically, eliminating the time needed for individual adjustment.
The Taipei Cycle D&I Awards are organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in collaboration with the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA). 207 products were entered into this year’s competition and five of the 74 winners will be awarded the Gold Award at Taipei Cycle Show in March.
