17 Oct Asia Bike Wraps Up in Nanjing
DAHON attends Chinese bike expo
A successful Asia Bike just took place at the Nanjing International Expo Center from Oct 9th to 12th, and DAHON was there to woo the crowds and look out for tech and inspiration.
The shows remit covers high-end bikes, sports bikes, luxury bikes, urban bikes, cycling apparel and bike components and is the first professional trade show for sports bikes in China. A total of 487 brands attended, up significantly from 394 in 2013, with 82% being overseas brands. The venue boasts 38,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space and a further 10,000 square meters outdoors.
DAHON presented 16 new folding models from its 2015 Chinese market line. The new bikes were not only upgraded in spec and performance, but also sporting fresh new colors and decals. Five non-foldable mountain bikes were on show as part of the strategy to meet market demands and enrich the product line. As the official licensee for Ford, DAHON also had five Ford branded bikes on show, with the F-150 fat bike attracting a lot of attention and test rides. Female cross-country race champion Ren Chengyuan dropped in on DAHON’s booth and was quite taken with the Suowei 2.0 Chinese market mountain bike, joking: “It seems that the money that I put aside for an iphone 6 will now be spent on purchasing a DAHON!”
