19 Mar Dahon Co-Sponsors National Bike Summit
Folding bikes hit the capital in support of cycling infrastructure
The National Bike Summit is due to kick off this Tuesday, March 20th, and Dahon is proud to be one of the sponsors. We offered a number of Vitesse D7HGs for use at the event, and all were snapped up and registered for within 45 minutes. Locks and computers will be provided by Hoss Active Sports Group, and Helmets by Kali Protective.
In addition to our sponsorship, Dahon’s Ken Fagut will be presenting a white paper on Folding Bikes as the Solution for Multi-Modal Transport. Ken is an active board member of the New York Bicycling Coalition and the paper was co-authored by two other members of the board. The focus is on utilizing folding bikes in city planning as a viable, economical and tangible solution to environmental challenges, and will also include proposals for employers to better integrate and support cycling.
More than 700 advocates have registered to attend the National Bike Summit. Online registration is now closed, however, the League of American Bicyclists will be offering on-site registration at the Grand Hyatt Metro Center. This service will be available from 1:30 p.m. on March 20 through to the end of March 21.
