08 Nov DAHON Debuts New Technology and Products at Taipei Cycle Show 2018
Narrow electric folders among new models presented in Taiwan
Leading folding bike brand, DAHON, will debut brand-new technology along with their new range of folding bikes for 2019 at Asia’s largest bicycle trade show, Taipei Cycle Show.
The show will kick off on October 30th with the Taipei Cycle Show Demo Day, open only to trade visitors, at the Hua Zhung Campsite. The demo day will give visitors an exclusive first look at many industry products, plus the chance to test them on dedicated demo tracks. For the day-long event, DAHON will present a variety of models from the 2019 range.
On October 31st brands from across the globe display their latest offerings at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. On show for the industry and members of the public, DAHON will have a selection of the 2019 range of folding bikes, which includes the highly anticipated NuWave. The compact NuWave employs narrow folding technology to fold down to a width of just 15cm. The model will be available in three different wheel sizes: 14”, 16” and 20” along with electric versions of these configurations.
The NuWave will also form the basis of DAHON’s new AI bicycle sharing system, which will be featured at the DAHON booth throughout the show. The innovative system aims to remedy the many challenges faced by traditional shared bikes. The ultra-slim NuWave is ideal for the urban environment and its small size means it can easily slide into secure lockers. The sturdy tubular frame can withstand the demands of regular use. Intelligent software is incorporated into locker banks, for smarter maintenance, location, payment, and even advertising.
Alongside the NuWave, DAHON will be presenting another brand-new model for 2019 in the form of the Launch D8. The bike utilizes DAHON’s exclusive Jaws hinge, the next evolution in DAHON LockJaw technology. Seamless and sturdy teeth lock the Launch’s hydroformed frame into place, making for an extremely robust ride.
On November 1st DAHON will bring together distributors from around the globe with bicycle and components companies for an evening dinner. The dinner offers an opportunity for DAHON’s partners and friends to catch up in a relaxed environment as well as meet with the DAHON team.
