DAHON Wraps Up Annual Chinese Distributor Conference

March 24th 2016, Shenzhen, China – Rain did not dampen spirits as the DAHON Chinese Distributor Conference (DCDC) of 2016 got underway at the Parklane Chang’an International Hotel in Shenzhen, China. Distributors from all across the country came together to celebrate this annual event.

The conference looked back over the company’s journey to becoming the world leader in folding bikes, as well as casting ahead to future growth. DAHON has experienced ups and downs in the past 30 years. With changes in the industry environment, the fusion and emergence of operating models, DAHON is now facing great challenges and opportunities. The growth and development of an enterprise are ever-changing, experiencing highs and lows is the only way in which one can move forward. The ethos at the heart of the company is that DAHON has never given up in the face of difficulty. As a team, the brand is persistently striding forward. The Chinese market represents a large portion of DAHON’s global sales, however, 2015 witnessed a recession across the entire Chinese manufacturing industry. Nonetheless, DAHON has persevered, supporting and working together with Chinese distributors to keep a buoyant outlook and performance. Singles Day, the Chinese equivalent of Black Friday on 11th November, in particular, saw record online sales with DAHON achieving US$1.2million in sales in just two days, outperforming mainstream bicycle brands such as Giant.

The event also focused on Marketing and Sales strategy for 2016, for which DAHON invited a renowned marketing consultant, Mr. Wu, to assist in the strategic planning and deployment. DAHON’s Chinese Distributor Conference is a prime opportunity for dealers and partners to get an exclusive look at the 2017 product line in person. Founder and CEO Dr. David Hon presented the highlights and technical features and the company promised to spare no efforts to make quality products that are customer-oriented at their heart.

As well as an informal signing ceremony, in which dealers sign on for their next year’s partnership with DAHON, some of the most successful distributors were invited on stage to share their experience, promotion, and sales strategies with the group. The conference is a great opportunity for exchanging ideas, communicating information and discussing the future. Attendees enjoyed a banquet together to close the event and looked forward to a prosperous year ahead.
