Veloolimp joins forces with folding bike leader as new “hyper” distributor
Duarte, California, November 29, 2012 – Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, has added Veloolimp Ltd. to its global distribution network, expanding the folding bike’s finely meshed system with a strong presence in the strategic Russian market.
Established in 1995 as a private trading company selling bicycles to the Moscow market, Veloolimp now serves over 330 dealerships across the country, 79 in Moscow and the greater metropolitan area. Today, jointly owned by three proprietors, the firm specializes in the wholesale distribution of pre-assembled bicycles, parts and accessories. Over the past 18 years, Veloolymp has advanced to become a formidable distribution network – a main supplier to the country’s major international hypermarkets and exclusive distributor for some of the most prestigious bicycle names in Europe.
