QBP to Distribute DAHON Folding Bicycles, Parts and Accessories in North America

Duarte, California, February 20, 2014 – World leader in folding bicycles DAHON today announced that Quality Bicycle Products (QBP), a leading distributor to the cycling and outdoor industries, has become the brand’s official wholesale distributor to independent bicycle dealers (IBDs) throughout North America. Based in Bloomington, MN with offices in Utah and Pennsylvania, QBP will distribute DAHON’s folding bikes, parts and accessories. QBP currently services more than 5,000 IBDs in North America. Dealers now can have the choice to order from QBP or directly from DAHON.“With DAHON rapidly growing in North America as a leader in urban and city bikes, QBP is the ideal partner to expand our distribution and increase exposure of our folding bike models to thousands of IBDs throughout North America,” said Henry Hon, Co-founder and Vice-President of DAHON. “Dealers now have the best of both worlds — they can deal directly with DAHON’s team or enjoy additional efficiency by ordering from QBP.” Hon went on to say that DAHON North America’s office in Duarte, CA will continue to ship bikes out of their two warehouses, and provide warranty and parts support to all dealers whether purchased through DAHON or QBP.

DAHON emphasized that its folding bike models are the “smart city bike” of choice — providing uncompromised performance that exceeds many traditional urban bikes, combined with the unique convenience to fold and go on the bus or the train, transport easily in a car’s trunk or backseat, and to store out of the way at home, the office or at school. For 2014 DAHON features 28 models arranged by category, including Urban: for smart and in-fashion transportation; Recreation: hassle free, take with you, fun for the whole family; and High Performance —the ultimate folding bikes for road and touring. All DAHON models provide the utmost in functionality and versatility — enjoy the “freedom to ride” or to “hitch a ride.

” With a DAHON folding bike, riders have the flexibility to hop on a bus or in a car while commuting or when simply out for a ride. “We are very excited to represent DAHON to our North American network of leading IBDs, who are working hard to grow their business in the burgeoning urban/city bike category,” said Jim Holst, QBP product manager. “We feel that we can now support these IBDs even better and more efficiently by bringing DAHON’s award-winning folding bikes into their product mix, as well as providing easy and convenient ordering for DAHON parts and accessories.”
