Salute to the Global Frontline Healthcare Professionals

DAHON “Salute to the Global Frontline Healthcare Professionals” program

HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. REFER A KEY WORKER
2. MATCH WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITY
3. DONATE A BICYCLE

1. Refer A Key worker

DAHON is calling for a global act of gratitude: In order for key workers to avoid public transport, DAHON donates folding bikes to get these healthcare professionals to and from the hospitals safely – and everyone can take part!

DAHON invites you to refer key workers in your community to apply for a new bicycle that DAHON will provide free of charge!

Simply send the referral link to an important key worker in your community who needs reliable transportation, or fill out the form yourself if you are a worker who needs transportation. DAHON is collecting submissions until the end of May 2020, and donations will be made on a “first-come, first-served” basis to qualified applicants while supplies last.

2. Match within your community

DAHON has partnered with Transportation Alternatives in New York City, where the need is most acute, to provide bicycles that are coordinated with key workers who need a reliable means of transportation. Riders in the New York area who may have a bicycle that they no longer need can make a contribution by donating it to Transportation Alternatives or to another similar bike match program closer to their community. More programs are being created almost weekly under the leadership of Transportation Alternatives. Find out more about how to get involved in a match program.

3. Donate a bike

Every bike purchased on the DAHON USA website which was listed below will be donated to the fundraising fleet and matched with a person who is qualified and in need of essential transportation.

It is vital for our communities that key workers remain mobilized. Together, we can help make life a little easier for people on the front lines by harnessing the power of the bicycle.
