DAHON exhibits at Outdoor Expo, Winning Mountain Craftsman Outdoor Award
May 25th – 28th, Shenzhen, China – Folding bike trailblazer, DAHON gathered alongside 2000+ internationally renowned sports brands, industry professionals, and cycling enthusiasts for the 4th annual Shenzhen Outdoor Expo, to showcase latest folding bikes and technology.
Mountain Craftsman Outdoor Awards
The Mountain Craftsman Outdoor Awards took place during the exhibition. These awards commend a variety of outstanding outdoor products.
The retro Boardwalk D5 was a real stand out from the competition and won the ‘Annual Bestseller Award’. The Boardwalk D5 is one of many single-beam models to be equipped with DAHONs innovative Deltech cable.
Deltech Cable
The Deltech cable is a simple accessory that attaches to the bottom bracket and lower rear of the headset. The addition of this accessory transforms single-beam bike frames into a stable triangular structure, improving the frame’s durability and load capacity.
With the addition of the Deltech, the longitudinal rigidity of the frame is improved by 15%, this improved strength improves pedaling efficiency, allowing this force to be converted into propulsion which reduces energy loss, allowing riders to save stamina. Deltech works perfectly in sync with the bicycle’s wiring and does not disturb the folding process.
Product Range on Show
DAHON impressed guests with its latest cutting-edge technology, and innovative product designs. A range of non-electric folding stars were showcased including fan favorite Mariner D8, retro Boardwalk D5, and sporty GB-2.
The GB-2 is a big hit with cycling fans, the 27.5” 650b gravel wheeled folder is tailor-made for outdoor adventures. The LockJaw hinges are concealed on an aluminum frame that utilizes a strong triangular, and thick lower tube, providing riders with the perfect amount of support for their escapades.
DBF Cycling Zone
The Shenzhen group cycling event took place during the expo at DBF Cycling Zone. Since the pandemic, China has embraced outdoor cycling. DAHON saw itself as a popular choice during the event, providing riders with a liberating and agile cycling experience.
